How would you rate airlines on quality?
Nov 14 2008, 2:34 PM EST
An annual academic study of the quality of the air travel experience found that it reached its lowest level ever this year (see this week’s story). It rated AirTran as the best in its index of quality measurements, US Airways as the worst among the major carriers, and Atlantic Southeast as the worst of the 16 airlines studied. What’s your opinion? Which airline do you think provides travelers with the best experience, and which ranks at the bottom? Post your comments here. Do you find this valuable?

I'd like to see the breakdown of the categories surveyed. As a business traveler I unfortunately have to deal with a lot of delays, slow baggage and all the other aggravations but I simply deal with it. It seems as though when a mechanical or weather delay is announced at the gate, it is the family travelers, etc. who gripe and scream and run to the counter. I simply sit and deal with it. First Class, if not better. I have four flights in F & J Class this year with Gulf Air, and they are going flat out to look after you. Long may it last.
